Procedure for Sending Move-In Emails

This article explains the steps for sending move-in emails to tenants after the property is ready for occupancy.

Procedure:

  1. Property Ready for Move-In:
    • Verify that the property is marked as "Rent Ready" or "New Construction - Rent Ready" in Propertyware before initiating the move-in process.
  2. Move-In Email Template:
    • Use the specific move-in email template based on the assigned property manager. Example format:
      • Subject Line: MOVE-IN - [ADDRESS]
      • Body: Include the name of the property manager, contact information, and a note about the move-in scheduling.
  3. Important Notes to Include:
    • Mention that the move-in date should be a minimum of 4 days from the email date.
    • If the tenant placed a deposit on a property that was not rent ready, move-in must occur within 2 weeks of the deposit being placed.
    • Include details about using the Move-In Concierge with the Resident Benefits Package
  4. Move-In Confirmation:
    • Once the email is sent, loop in the property manager for the final scheduling.
    • Ensure that all contact and utility setup details are mentioned in the email
