Chris Funk – President, CEO
Chris Funk is a results driven executive whose career reflects disciplined leadership, strategic foresight, and a relentless commitment to excellence. His competitive spirit and determination emerged early, earning the number one national ranking after winning the North American Championship in the equestrian sport of Three-Day Eventing.
In 1999, Chris relocated to Florida to attend Flagler College in St. Augustine, where he earned his degree in Business Management. While still in college, he founded a laundry and dry-cleaning company that quickly grew into the premier operation in Northeast Florida. Under his leadership, the company expanded beyond traditional industry boundaries into fire restoration and government contracting strategic moves that insulated the business during the economic downturn of the late 2000s and positioned it for sustained growth.
Recognizing opportunity within the evolving real estate market, Chris spearheaded the company’s initial investments into residential rental properties. Identifying strong demand from investors seeking professionally managed assets, he developed a comprehensive marketing strategy, cultivated strategic partnerships, and launched multiple real estate ventures. His commitment to delivering exceptional service and performance led to the founding of SunCoast Property Management LLC, a firm built on operational portfolio performance and investor-focused solutions.
As the real estate market stabilized and new opportunities emerged, Chris and his leadership team strategically expanded into development and construction with the formation of SIHoldCo.
Today, in partnership with Sumitomo Forestry, the 80% majority shareholder of SIHoldCo,the parent company of SunCoast Property Management, the organization operates in powerful synergy. Together, the companies integrate new construction development with professional property management to deliver streamlined, end-to-end real estate solutions.
This unified structure enables clients to benefit from seamless execution at every stage of the investment lifecycle from acquisition and development through to leasing, stabilization, and long-term asset management.
Chris remains guided by the same principles that defined his early competitive success: discipline, strategic thinking, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. Alongside his professional endeavors, his wife Marcea continues to be a nationally recognized rider and trainer in the equestrian arena.
